I would legit love to see a modern day remake of this (and the other two games) on steam or something. Maybe merge them together to make one big game and make the gun fights more dynamic. Too nostalgic!

While it is definitely an improvement of the first in most senses, I actually like being friendly with my Buddy, this game doesn't give much option for that, especially at the beginning. I resorted to throwing basketballs at it (because It was the method that seemed the least painful for my widdle buddy) The Buddy also seems to have lost the ability to catch baseballs and earn you money and instead takes pain when it touches his hand.

Anyways those are my complaints, great game, improved gameplay and graphics, however the target audience is much more specific this time around. Alienating only a very small portion of players. Mind you dragging the buddy through certain scenes trying not to hit mines was fun for me!

I admire your ability at your young age (13) but there's nothing I hate more then people who think it can be used as a defence. I'm not going to compare my performance to yours because I wouldn't be surprised if you we're better than me in the next 2 years but at 13 I expect you to be receiving criticism and taking it into consideration a lot better than you do. I've seen your replies to some people and there downright insulting. People should follow the motto "The customer is always right." Technically a game you submit to Newgrounds is your Product and the players are the customers. Argue and insult them, and you'll make you look bad. To everyone. I don't want to be playing the game of someone who calls anyone who makes a negative remark about their product an "asshole."

Anyway onto the actual game. Well you already submitted a games simular to this Ganmizar and Flarez which received poor reviews, so wouldn't you consider improving every aspect of it in your next game rather than just adding a mechanic or two? There's a difference between realistic graphics and being graphically appealing, this falls under neither. No sounds also KILLS your score.

So my advice is to simply work more on the graphical elements of the game a lot more because obviously what's going on right now isn't working. Add sound to the game, this is a MUST have. If you have nothing positive or reasoning to say to the reviews you receive don't say anything. (This isn't a comment box, this is a review section hence why one person can only post one review per flash as opposed to being able to spam the section with pointless comments) Games aren't to be made in a few hours or days, they should takes months or even over a year depending on the game. I understand this was suppose to be the beta but to see how you gave up on the game because you lost the .FLA I can't see that you took this game very seriously any ways.

Anyways, I hope to see good things from you in the future, some my cricism was harsh, but that's life and it's the only way I could of effectively got my points across and the reason I gave you this long review was because I think if you put a few more years into learning flash, you could be pretty good. So I recommend learning more before attempting again. Cheers.

Dis is gud game. Make Red Car Game 2: Rise of the Blue Car.

best name ever

OMG 3 SPOOKY 5 ME!

Good game, A lot of thinking involved!

Meh, it's a very messy, clean it up a bit, get rid of unusable sprites (I think 3 giant pipes are a bit too much. and we really don't need that castle floor piece.) People usually focus more on playing around with the characters than designing the stage. Add Luigi, Peach and Bowser and stack the sprites perfectly on top of each other to save space.

By the way LOLyeah, the guy below me, this isn't freakin' Youtube, there are no thumbs ups theres rating REVIEWS emphasis on REVIEWS, as useful and not useful.

I never understand why people seem to have a hard time making scene creators. The problem is the fact that there is only one set of sprites for each character facing a certain way. You need TWO sets of the same character so you can get him facing both left and right. It's really not hard.
It would also be nicer to have a bigger background and more backgrounds.

Meh

I wouldn't call this a Soul Eater Dress up, since this character is not from soul eater. I know it's a female Death the Kid, but it's sort of misleading. It's kind of if I made a game called "Megaman Dress up" and it turned out to be some weird version of Protoman.
When I play a game called "*insert character* Dress up" I want to dress up *insert character* not some fan character. I know you stated it's a "Soul Eater Themed Dress up" but then the title should've hinted it was that.

In terms of how good this game was, there weren't many things to dress this... Character with so it was very limited. Good try though.

Zeiphex responds:

I get what you're saying but it has no place here. You need to please rate this on what it is (ie, a commission in which myself, the artist/coder, could only do what the commissioner asked for). What you're saying should be targeted at the commissioner and not at me. Saying it here and rating my work down because of it helps no-one. It's also NOT a female Death the Kid, OR a fan-character. It's just a female base upon which one can equip various pieces of Soul Eater clothing. That's what the commissioner asked for, and that's what she got. Yes, there is a lack of outfits, and that is because the commissioner personally chose and paid for each individual item. Please don't essentially tell me that the game is bad because of things that YOU would have liked to see in it. If I was the designer behind it, sure, but I merely followed someone else's instructions. Please read properly and UNDERSTAND before making comments like this =.=

Great Game!

The game play is simple, which makes it fantastic. The good ol, run and jump gameplay with a. The bonus features kept me occupied for a while longer as well. The quickdraw mini-game was neat, If I do recall it was a kirby minigame right? anyway you pulled it off well.
If anyone has about half an hour or so to spar, I'd recommend they give this game a try!

OrangePylon responds:

Thanks a lot. Yes, the Quick Draw game was copied fro-- I mean... INSPIRED BY the minigame in Kirby's Adventure.
